
Phoenix Mercury to host Girls Night out on Friday, July 14

The Phoenix Mercury will host its annual Girls Night Out on Friday, July 14. Starting at 6 p.m., ladies can enjoy pampering in the Lexus Club courtesy of Valencia Salon Studios. Valencia will provide stations for hair styling, manicures and massages, all available on a first come, first serve basis. In addition, fans over the age of 21 are invited to enjoy $3 Bud and Bud Light until tip-off.
Plus, the first 3,000 fans will receive a life-sized growth chart poster of Mercury rookie sensation Cappie Pondexter courtesy of Arizona Department of Health Services.
Following the pregame festivities, the Mercury will square off against Lisa Leslie and the LA Sparks.

TIME: Tip-off is 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.
WHERE: U.S. Airways Center
THE TEAM: The Mercury is coming off back-to-back home victories over the Chicago Sky and the Minnesota Lynx. On Wednesday, June 28, Mercury rookie Cappie Pondexter hit a three-pointer with under five seconds remaining in the game to give the Mercury an 81-78 win over the Lynx in front of more than 11,000 fans. Pondexter is averaging 21.9 points a game. Diana Taurasi paces the team, dropping in 24 per outing.
SIDELINE: Ladies can register to win a full day of spa treatment by logging on to www.phoenixmercury.com. One winner will be selected to spend Friday, July 14 at Valencia Salon Studios and receive head-to-toe services. Following the spa treatment, the winner, along with four friends, will be picked at the salon in a limo and dropped off a Majerle's Sports Grill for dinner. The four ladies will then sit courtside to watch the Mercury take on the Sparks.
