
Philadelphia Union to Host Liga MX Club Pumas UNAM in International Friendly at Talen Energy Stadium

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union announced today that they will host Mexican club Pumas UNAM in an international friendly match at Talen Energy Stadium. The contest takes place on Saturday, September 7 and is set for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
The match counts as the Bonus Game for all Union Full Season Ticket Members and is included in their memberships. Season Ticket Members and corporate partners will receive a pre-sale code to purchase additional tickets during an exclusive window beginning Monday, July 22 at 10:00 a.m. ET.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, July 23 at 10:00 a.m. ET and start at $24. Groups of 10 or more qualify for a discounted starting rate of $21. For all ticket information, visit www.philadelphiaunion.com.
Pumas UNAM, full name Club de Fútbol Universidad Nacional A.C., is one of Mexico's most popular and successful clubs. Based in Mexico City, the side has won seven Liga MX titles, most recently the Clausura in 2011. They have also won the Copa MX once, and the Concacaf Champions League three times.
This will be Pumas' second visit to Talen Energy Stadium for an international friendly. The Union defeated the Mexican club by a 1-0 final in 2013. Last season, the Union hosted German club Eintracht Frankfurt in an international friendly in Chester, winning by that same 1-0 score.
