July 18, 2019 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Los Angeles FC News Release
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) heads down to Carson to take on the Galaxy on Friday, July 19 at Dignity Health Sports Park. Tomorrow night's contest begins at 7:00 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN 710 AM, and 980 AM "La Mera Mera'.
Last Friday night, LAFC (14-2-4; 46 points) earned its league-best sixth road win of 2019, while handing the Houston Dynamo its first home defeat of the year. Goals from Adama Diomande (2) and Diego Rossi gave the Black & Gold a 3-1 come-from-behind win in Houston.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy dropped their fourth game at Dignity Health Sports Park this year - falling 3-1 on Friday evening against the San Jose Earthquakes. The Galaxy, currently in third place in the Western Conference, have a record of 11-8-1 - with seven of those wins coming at home.
Last season, the Galaxy was the only team to play three regular season games against LAFC. The Galaxy earned a 4-3 victory in the first meeting on March 31, before splitting the points in the other two contests - 2-2 on July 26 and 1-1 on August 24. The two sides will meet once more in MLS play this season, facing off on Sunday, August 25 at Banc of California Stadium.
