February 22, 2024 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Philadelphia Union News Release
CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union and Language Services Associates, Inc. (LSA) today announced a multiyear renewal. As a part of the renewal, LSA becomes the presenting partner of the stadium's exclusive premium Tunnel Club, to be renamed Club LSA, as the Union kick off the 2024 season. LSA will continue as the Official Language Services Provider of the Philadelphia Union & Subaru Park.
"LSA has been a valuable partner over the last two years," said Philadelphia Union Chief Revenue Officer, Charlie Slonaker. "With their ability to help the club reach new audiences through interpretations, interviews, content, and game day experiences in a number of languages, we've been able to grow our fan base and establish deeper connections with our community."
Under the new agreement, LSA will now be the presenting partner of Club LSA, formerly the Tunnel Club, which will feature new signage in one of the stadium's most exclusive, premium areas. The new naming will be marked with an official ribbon cutting in the coming weeks. LSA will also be the presenting partner for the May 15th match against NYCFC.
"This partnership, the extension, and the heightened exposure with the Philadelphia Union is simply a wonderful fit for LSA and our customers," said LSA President, Scott Cooper. "Soccer is the most international game. The overlap with our mission of bringing people together by eliminating language barriers is a natural fit. We are thrilled to continue this long-term relationship."
LSA and the Union first partnered together in 2022 with the goal of expanding the game to an increasingly diverse and international fanbase by connecting with fans in innovative ways. This included adding a sign-language interpreter for the National Anthem at every home match and a player translation content series on social media.
LSA is a global leader in business-to-business interpretation, translation, and American Sign Language services. For over 30 years LSA has been helping its customers grow by communicating in hundreds of languages with their customers and employees. LSA offers over 7,000 of the highest-quality interpreters and translators through state-of-the-art and secure phone, video, and scheduling technology. LSA provides a competitive differentiator in the sports, entertainment, healthcare, government, financial, banking, insurance, hospitality, and manufacturing industries.
