Memphis, Tenn. - Memphis scored a season-high 13 runs en route to a 13-8 win over Oklahoma Friday night at AutoZone Park.

Josh Phelps knocked in a season-best five runs and belted his fifth home run of the year, a three-run shot in the seventh inning that tied the game 7-7. He added a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth inning to set the final score. Brian Barden went 3-for-4 with a team season-high four runs scored and Joe Mather homered for the fourth straight game to take over the team lead with seven homers on the year.

Oklahoma jumped out to an early 4-0 advantage sending 10 men to the plate in the first inning. Drew Meyer knocked in a pair of runs in the rally with a single and Travis Metcalf capped the rally with another RBI-single. John Mayberry later hit his fourth home run of the year with a solo blast in the third inning on his way to a two-hit night.

Matt Scherer earned the win in relief for the Redbirds tossing 1.1 innings. P.J. Walters started for the ‘Birds and allowed seven runs, six earned, on eight hits with seven strikeouts over 4.2 innings. Four Memphis pitchers combined for a season-high 13 strikeouts. Yukinaga Maeda was pinned with the loss after giving up five runs, four earned, on five hits in 1.1 innings of relief. RedHawks starter Eric Hurley pitched five innings and gave up seven runs, five earned, on five hits before being ejected.

Memphis sends right-hander Blake Hawksworth to the hill tomorrow night's 6:05 p.m. game. Oklahoma is scheduled to counter with right-hander Robinson Tejeda.
