Round Rock Express News Release
ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Triple-A Express added a fourth outfielder Friday, welcoming Ray Sadler from Double-A Corpus Christi before taking on the Iowa Cubs at The Dell Diamond.
Sadler, 27, was batting .290 with four homeruns and 24 runs scored for Corpus Christi. The Waco resident picked up multiple hits in eight of his 33 Double-A games and batted .322 at Whataburger Field. He last appeared on a Triple-A roster when he batted .186 for Indianapolis in 2006.
Sadler, who went 1-for-3 with a run scored Thursday in the Hooks' game against San Antonio, will wear No. 25 for the Express.
To make room for Sadler on the Express' 24-man roster, infielder Richard Paz was relegated to Corpus Christi, where he began the season by hitting .386 through 20 games. Paz, 30, spent most his time at second base with Round Rock, notching multiple hits in six of his 11 games.
