October 6, 2018 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Youngstown Phantoms News Release
YOUNGSTOWN, OH- For the second night in a row the Youngstown Phantoms found themselves in a tightly contested matchup but fell to rival Muskegon 3-0.
Daniil Gushchin banged one home off a big rebound off Phantoms goalie Jon Mor (30 saves) on the power play for the 'Jacks to start off the game at the 11:16 mark of the first period. The intensity would pick up from there as both teams would tally up a combined 42 penalty minutes.
Nolan Sullivan would put the Lumberjacks up two as he was able to gather his own rebound tap it past a sprawling Mor.
With ten minutes exactly remaining in the third period Hunter Skinner would put a one-timer past Mor as the 'Jacks were on an odd-man rush to put Muskegon up by three and that would be the final tally of the night as the Brandon Bussi would earn the shutout.
The Phantoms are back in action against these same Lumberjacks in Muskegon. Scott Bradford will have the call on HockeyTV and MixLR.
