Peyton Jones, Three Affiliates Make NHL CSS Rankings

Lincoln, Neb. - Peyton Jones and three Stars affiliates were named to the NHL Central Scouting midterm rankings, the NHL announced on Tuesday.

Affiliates Adam Karashik, Carter Long and Tommy Nappier joined Jones on the list that ranked the top North American and International NHL draft eligible players.

"These four players are very deserving of recognition," Hartsburg said. "They've made great strides in their development and I look forward to seeing them progress."

Jones was ranked 22nd among North American goalies after posting a 2.65 GAA and .914 save percentage through 18 games with the Stars. He will attend Penn State University in the fall.

Nappier was ranked four spots behind Jones, coming in at 26th among North American goalies. The Ohio State commit has a 2.33 GAA and .929 save percentage through 24 games with the Springfield Jr. Blues of the North American Hockey League.

Karashik, a University of Connecticut commit, was pegged No. 162 among North American skaters and will play for Avon Old Farms School this season.

Long was ranked No. 205 among North American skaters. The 6'3" 198 pound defenseman has 19 points in 14 games for the Selects Hockey Academy. He is committed to the University of Vermont.

The USHL had 43 players and 12 alumni named to the NHL CSS midterm rankings.
