
Petit Jean Meats, Travs Kick Off National Hot Dog Month

Morrilton, Arkansas - During July, in honor of National Hot Dog Month, proceeds from every package of hot dogs sold will be donated to Arkansas Children's Hospital. To celebrate the event, Petit Jean Meats and the Arkansas Travelers will be giving away a family four pack of tickets to any 2013 Arkansas Travelers game and a gift pack of Petit Jean Hot Dogs to a randomly drawn winner. To enter, just upload a photo of your best-dressed hot dog to the Petit Jean Meats facebook page or tweet it to @PetitJeanMeats using hashtags #TopDog and #PJMeats. The contest runs from June 21-July 7, 2013.
Jonathan Armstrong of Benton, AR will throw out the first pitch at the Arkansas Travelers game on Thursday, June 27. When Jonathan was born in 2003, he was rushed to ACH and diagnosed with group B strep with sepsis, as well as chronic pulmonary hypertension. He spent 4 days on ECMO and several weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Jonathan, now 9, has no lingering effects from his time in the hospital.
