Peterborough Petes News Release
(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes will play three games in three days this weekend to wrap up the 2018-19 regular season. They'll play a home-and-home with the Ottawa 67's on Thursday, March 14 at 7:05pm at the Peterborough Memorial Centre and on Friday, March 15 at 7:00pm in Ottawa before returning home to host the Sudbury Wolves on Saturday, March 16 at 7:05pm.
The 67's have clinched first place in the Eastern Conference, but Thursday's game could impact the Petes' position in the standings. The team's billet families, who are instrumental in the development of the players, will be recognized in a special pre-game ceremony.
The game is being played in support of the Down Syndrome Association of Peterborough. In addition to taking part in a ceremonial puck drop the Association, whose mission is to support and enrich the lives of individuals with Down syndrome, will also host a fundraising chuck-a-puck with a top prize of a raptor rampage Lego kit ($175 value).
Saturday's Fan Appreciation Night will see additional prizing given to the loudest and most spirited Petes fans in attendance. Overage players Adam Timleck, Chris Paquette, and Austin Osmanski will be honoured in a special pre-game ceremony.
The game, which could be a preview of the Petes' first playoff round, is proudly sponsored by Great Clips. The salon will be offering hair cuts by donation throughout the game.
The Peterborough GreenUP Association, a local charity that inspires and empower environmentally healthy and sustainable action in our community, will host a second intermission chuck-a-puck with prizes including a film festival passes, a gift certificate, and GreenUP merchandise ($230 value).
Other game night activities include a Reliance Minor Hockey Skills Competition, Peterborough and District Sports Hall of Fame vehicle draw, and NHL 19 eSports tournament championship games.
Tickets for Peterborough's home games on Thursday and Saturday are available through the Baker Tilly Box Office in person, over the phone at (705) 743-3561, and online.
Although they've clinched a spot, the Petes are still pushing for playoff positioning. Cheer on the Petes down the stretch with a Playoff Push Flex Pack! For just $69.99 (tax included), fans will receive four regular bowl tickets, four popcorns, and four pops for any Petes home game in February or March.
