Peterborough Petes News Release
(Peterborough, ON) - Peterborough Petes General Manager Michael Oke announced Monday that the team has signed forward Jake Partridge to a standard player agreement.
Partridge, who was selected by the Petes in the 11th round, 215th overall in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection, spent the 2017-18 season with the Rayside-Balfour Canadians of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. Partridge is currently fifth in team scoring, and eighth in league rookie scoring, with 16 goals, 28 assists, 44 points, and 17 penalty minutes in 48 games.
The 5'8", 165lbs left winger from Barrie, Ontario, attended the Petes' 2017 Development and Training Camps, and will wear number 9. Partridge's grandfather, Fern St. Onge, played 92 games for the Petes from 1960-62.
"We've been monitoring Jake's progress over the course of the season, and he's been a key player for the Rayside-Balfour Junior 'A' team," commented Oke. "This is another example of our scouting staff identifying a strong player in the later rounds of the Priority Selection that we think will be able to contribute to our team moving forward."
"I'm really excited to play in a great city like Peterborough," added Partridge. "I've been working very hard and have been looking forward to this opportunity for a long time."
Flex Packs are the most affordable and convenient way to see the Petes in action through the remainder of the season. 10 and 20 packs can be used in any combination at any regular season Petes home game. Call Steve at (705) 743-3681 ext. 263, or send him an email, for more information.
