Brantford Bulldogs News Release
HAMILTON, ONTARIO. Special teams were the difference Monday afternoon as the Owen Sound Attack scored three power-play goals and added one short-handed in a 4-3 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs at FirstOntario Centre.
The 1st period got off to a good start for the Black and Gold as Matthew Strome (32) scored at 1:23 to give the 7,327 in attendance for the Family Day matinee something to cheer about.
Things went south in the 2nd period as Hamilton ran into penalty trouble. The Attack power-play went to work scoring three times, with the Bulldogs responding with one short-handed goal from Isaac Nurse (14) as the visitors took a 3-2 lead to the dressing room.
Owen Sound's fourth goal came short-handed early in the 3rd as Arthur Kaliyev (26) gave the home team some life late, but the comeback came up short.
