January 8, 2019 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Peterborough Petes News Release
(Peterborough, ON) - The Peterborough Petes will play a three-game home stand beginning with games on Thursday, January 10 at 7:05pm against the Oshawa Generals and on Saturday, January 12 at 7:05pm against the North Bay Battalion.
Thursday's game is proudly sponsored by Reliance Home Comfort who will be doing giveaways throughout the evening. During a pre-game ceremony, rookie goaltender Tye Austin will be recognized for being named the OHL East Division's Academic Player of the Month for December, while Gibson's Finest Canadian Whisky will make a donation to the Petes Education Fund. A fundraising chuck-a-puck will support the PHA's Minor Atom Roster Select 47's.
The Seventh Annual Saves 4 CF game will take place on Saturday. Saves 4 CF is a program that was initiated in partnership with former Petes netminder Andrew D'Agostini in which GM Financial and John Newman Contracting donate $1 to Cystic Fibrosis Canada for every save made by a Petes goalie. There will be a silent auction and chuck-a-puck in support of Saves 4 CF featuring prizes including concert tickets, CHL memorabilia, gift cards, gift baskets, lunch with the Petes, and more.
Saturday's game is sponsored by CARSTAR Peterborough. The national anthem will be performed by the Peterborough Children's Chorus.
Saturday's game will also feature the largest 50/50 jackpot in Petes history! The lucky winner will take home a minimum of $5,000. Fans can purchase 50/50 tickets in support of the Petes Education Fund at 60 tickets for $20, 10 tickets for $10, and 3 tickets for $5.
Tickets for both games are available through the Collins Barrow Box Office in person, over the phone at (705) 743-3561, and online.
Petes Holiday Flex Packs are still available while supplies last. For just $59.99 (tax included), fans will receive two Petes holiday mugs, two $2 Tim Hortons Tim Cards, and four flexible ticket vouchers to be used for any Petes home game in January. The regular price of this package is $118, which means fans save almost 50% on the special offer. Contact Mike at (705) 743-3681 x 263.
