Kansas City Monarchs News Release

Cleburne, Texas - The Kansas City T-Bones (11-13) have won two straight after their win against the 3rd place holder in the South (12-13), Cleburne Railroaders, 7-1.

Four T-Bones had multi-hit games to tally a total of twelve for the team on the day. Ramsey Romano and Danny Mars started the scoring for Kansas City with Romano hitting an RBI double and Mars with an RBI single.

The T-Bones scored in every other inning until the dry spell in the 7th and 8th innings, but they ended the game with one more insurance run to put the nail in the coffin for the Railroaders' series hopes. In the 4th inning Danny Mars struck again with an RBI single, scoring Roy Morales on an earned run, and Dylan Tice had a sac fly to center field where Ryan Brett scored on another earned run.

Mars and Tice wouldn't be done yet in the 6th inning as Mars does a job and grounds out but scores Morales again to make the lead 5-1. After Tice hits an RBI single, the score would remain 6-1 until the top of the 9th when Romano would earn his second RBI of the day, hitting in Casey Gillaspie.

Pitching was phenomenal for the T-Bones as Jon Perrin would earn his first quality start and win in KC, and the pitching staff would only let up one earned run the entire game. Perrin (1-0) ended his night with seven innings pitched, five hits, one earned run, two walks and six strikeouts. Eudis Idrogo (1-2) had a final line of five innings pitched, six hits, four earned runs, two walks and 10 strikeouts--the most strikeouts he has thrown this season.

Kansas City and Cleburne will have one more game tomorrow, starting at 7:06 p.m., to end the 3-game series. The game can be heard on the T-Bones Broadcast Network.
