Perez Placed on DL, Marquez Transferred from Staten Island

CHARLESTON, SC - The New York Yankees announced Sunday that Charleston RiverDogs right-handed pitcher Kelvin Perez has been placed on the DL, retroactive to June 26, and right-handed pitcher Dickson Marquez has been re-added to the roster from short-season Staten Island.

Perez, a Manoguallavo, Dominican Republic native, has appeared in 14 games for the RiverDogs thus far this season, with 13 starts and one relief outing. The right-hander has posted a 3-5 record with a 3.55 ERA, surrendering 74 hits and 30 earned runs, with 24 walks and 54 strikeouts in a total of 76.0 innings of work.

Marquez, a San Cristobal, Dominican Republic native, has posted a 0-3 record in 13 appearances this season with the RiverDogs. The 6'2" hurler surrendered 23 hits and 16 earned runs, with nine walks, eight punchouts and one save in a total of 16.1 innings of work.
