HAMPTON, V.A. - The Wilson Tobs built a three-run advantage only to see the Peninsula Pilots rally to tie the game in the final frame before winning it in the game 5-4, on Friday night at War Memorial Stadium.

With the game tied at four in the last of the 10th inning, Peninsula (24-25-1, 12-10) loaded the bases with none out against Christian Oliver. Joey Andrews walked to begin the frame and was lifted for pinch runner, DJ Martinez who scored when Josh Silver singled through a drawn-in infield as the Pilots prevailed past the Tobs, 5-4.

The Pilots trailed by a run in the ninth inning as Zac MacAneney led off the inning with a triple to the gap in right centerfield and scored on a two-strike two out single off the bat of Josh Eldridge to even the score and send the game to the 10th.

Wilson (18-32, 9-13) broke a two all tie with an unearned run against left-hander Brandon Vick. Kyle Hackney reached to start the inning on a Josh Silver error and later came in to score on Harry Slade's sacrifice fly to give Wilson a 3-2 advantage.

After adding an insurance run in the seventh inning on a bases loaded walk to Joe Costigan, the Tobs had a two run, 4-2 lead. However, Peninsula came right back with a run off Tobs reliever Chris Armstrong when MacAneney scored on a Corey Davis sacrifice fly.

The Tobs opened the scoring in their first at bat as with two outs Trey Whaley singled ahead of Bryant Noteboom who jacked a home run over the left field wall to give the Tobs an early two run lead.

In the bottom of the first, the Pilots knotted the game at two when Andrew Amaro singled to start the frame and two batters later, MacAneney walked and both came around to score on a groundout by Geno Escalante and on Corey Davis' single to even the game before the Pilots rallied to tie and eventually win the game.
