LAST WEEK'S RESULTS
SATURDAY, October 13: Penguins 1, SENATORS 2...
The Penguins fired 36 shots on Binghamton goaltender Robin Lehner, but could only find the back of the net once in a 2-1 loss to the Senators.
Trevor Smith tallied the first goal of the season for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and gave his team a 1-0 lead at 13:08 of the second. Jakob Silfverberg and Hugh Jessiman scored 2:57 apart early in the third period to help the Senators rally for the win.
In his first start for the Penguins, Jeff Zatkoff took the loss with 23 saves on 25 shots.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19, 7:00 PM: Penguins @ FALCONS...
The Penguins skate into Springfield to take on the Falcons (2-0-0-0), who are among the early leaders in the Eastern Conference. Springfield has outscored opponents 8-2 over their first two games of the season, led by three points (2g-1a) by former Penguin Ryan Craig.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20, 7:05 PM: PENGUINS vs. Sound Tigers...
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will face the Sound Tigers as they open the home schedule on their 14th season of play. Bridgeport is also undefeated (2-0-0-0) after the first weekend of regular season. The Penguins went 3-1-0-0 versus the Sound Tigers in 2011-12, with three of the four meetings decided by one goal.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21, 5:05 PM: PENGUINS vs. Crunch...
Syracuse (1-0-0-1), newly affiliated with the Tampa Bay Lightning, skates into Mohegan Sun Arena for the first of eight contests between the two teams this season. Reigning AHL Rookie of the Year Cory Conacher has already compiled five points (3g-2a) in his first two games.

Free-agent signee Trevor Smith scored the first goal of the season for the WBS Penguins...Dating back to his time with the Norfolk Admirals last season, the Penguins' loss Saturday night was Smith's first in the regular season since Feb. 5...Philippe Dupuis is one away from his 400th pro game...The Penguins are now 6-8 all-time in season openers and 7-7 in road openers.

HOME OPENER THIS SATURDAY...
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins face the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in their Home Opener on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7:05PM. The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a Penguins Wall Calendar, courtesy of Lucky's Sportshouse.
CHILLIN' WITH THE PENGUINS TAPING ON WEDNESDAY...
For the second straight season, fans will get an up close and personal look at the Penguins on TV during CHILLIN' WITH THE PENGUINS. The half-hour show will feature Penguins broadcasters Tom Grace and Mike O'Brien chatting with Pens players, and will also allow fans to ask questions directly to their favorite Penguins during an interactive Q&A session.
The show will be taped in front of a live audience inside the Ice Rink at Coal Street Park (40 Coal Street in Wilkes-Barre). Ten shows will be aired on MyNetworkTV this season at 6:30 P.M. on the Saturdays of that week's taping.
The next taping will be held at 6:00pm on Wednesday, Oct. 17 with Joey Mormina and Warren Peters as this week's guests. Admission to each taping is free.
