
Penguins to face Hershey Bears in East Division Finals

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will face the Hershey Bears in the East Division Finals of the Calder Cup Playoffs, it was decided on Friday night. The Penguins advanced thanks to their 4-2 victory over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in Game Five of their East Division Semifinals series, while the Bears swept the Philadelphia Phantoms in the other divisional matchup.
The Bears hold home ice advantage in the second round, thanks to winning the East Division regular season title with 106 points. The Penguins finished two points behind the Bears in third place in the division with 104 points.
