Penguins Sign Henningson to PTO

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed defenseman Dan Henningson to a professional tryout agreement.

Henningson currently skates with the Chicago Express of the ECHL after being acquired from the Wheeling Nailers on October 18. The third-year pro has recorded a goal, two assists and eight penalty minutes in 18 games this season.

A former four-year letterman at Quinnipiac University, Henningson totaled 29 points (8g-21a) and 57 PIM in 101 games during his first two seasons with Wheeling. The Edmonton, Alberta-native made his professional debut with the Lake Erie Monsters in 2008-09, appearing in ten games following his senior year at Quinnipiac.
