Abbotsford Heat News Release
Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat is proud to announce an exclusive broadcast partnership with Shaw that will afford all Shaw subscribers across the Lower Mainland (Whistler to Hope) access to a live AHL game featuring the Abbotsford Heat and Chicago Wolves, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks.
Abbotsford has visited Chicago twice so far this season and came out on the winning end on both occasions. December 2nd saw the Heat extend its undefeated run in the shootout to four games with a 3-2 decision on the strength of Leland Irving's net minding. Within 48 hours of their first game in Chicago, the Heat returned to the Windy City and earned another road win as they tamed the Wolves 3-1 on December 4th.
The game will be broadcasted on Thursday, December 22nd from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois with puck drop scheduled for 5:00 PM Pacific. Heat President Ryan Walter summed up his thoughts by saying "We're excited about giving local fans the opportunity to view our game on Shaw Television."
