Pens Stifle B-Sens, 1-0

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins shutout the Binghamton Senators 1-0 in mid-week hockey action at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. Scott Munroe stopped all 25 Binghamton shots en route to earning his third shutout of the season (second against the B-Sens) and improve to 3-2-2 on the season.

Matt Rust generated all the offense the Penguins would need as he ripped a shot past Robin Lehner off a face-off in the Binghamton zone at 4:51 of the first period.

In total Lehner stopped 35 of 36 shots for the B-Sens.

Binghamton ended the night 0-for-4 on the power play. Wilkes-Barre was 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

The B-Sens return to action Friday night as they host the Norfolk Admirals. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $18.50 for side seating, $17.50 for end seating.
