Pellow leads Sox to win

Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release


The Colorado Springs Sky Sox defeated the Nashville Sounds 8-6 on Saturday night. Kit Pellow hit 2 home runs and drove in 4 runs to pace the Sox 14 hit attack. Garrett Atkins led all hitters with 3 hits on the night and starter Scott Elarton picked up his 2nd win of the year as he struck out 6 over 6 1/3 innings of work. The Sox and Sounds meet again Sunday evening at Sky Sox Stadium for game 3 of the series with Randy Flores (7-6, 4.16) taking the mound for the Sox against Dave Williams (4-2, 2.40) of Nashville.
