Pelicans and Duplin Winery to Host POPS Concert

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Earlier today the Pelicans held a press conference at Duplin Winery where they announced that a symphony concert, "POPS with the Pelicans", will be held at TicketReturn.Com Field at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 3. The symphony concert features the Grand Strand's Long Bay Symphony under the direction of Charles Jones Evans.

Gates will open at 6 p.m. for the two-hour performance, which will include a number of familiar selections from popular movies and Broadway shows, as well as iconic orchestral classics and patriotic favorites. The concert will conclude with Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, followed by John Philip Sousa's The Stars and Stripes Forever in conjunction with a fireworks display.

Individual tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 1. All tickets purchased in advance of show week are $25, with tickets purchased the week of the show on sale for $30. Pricing applies to all levels of the seating bowl.

Patrons will also have the opportunity to purchase VIP On-Field Tables. These limited tables include eight tickets and light hors d'oeuvres and beverages provided by Duplin Winery.

Box office hours are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
