
Pawsox Lose To Chiefs Again

Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
The PawSox have dropped 6 of their last nine games, including Wednesdays' 3-1 defeat in Syracuse. The Chiefs have beaten Pawtucket 5 times in the last 6 days. Starter Greg Smith turned in his second straight excellent outing for the Sox. The lefty gave up one run in six innings. In the seventh, Junichi Tazawa surrendered a two run homer to Seth Bynum. Tazawa (1-1) took the loss, allowing his first runs of the season in a PawSox uniform.
Winner Tommy Milone earned the victory and he was impressive. Milone (11-6) allowed one run in 7 innings. He scattered 4 hits and struck out 8 batters. Lars Anderson provided the lone offensive bright spot with a solo home run in the second inning.
The PawSox and Chiefs square off for the final tme in 2011 on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Kyle Weiland (8-9, 3.48) faces Brad Meyers (5-4, 3.62).
