Patterson and Dooley: a tough one-two punch

Gateway Grizzlies Scott Patterson and Joe Dooley are off to an impressive start after the first month of play in the 2004 Frontier League season.
Patterson, originally from Oakdale, PA has a record of 4-0 in seven starts. He has thrown 49.0 innings, allowing 42 hits, 14 earned runs, nine walks, and has struck out 44 batters with an ERA of 2.57.
Dooley, a native of Chantilly, VA is also sporting a 4-0 record. Joe has hurled 45.0 innings, allowing 39 hits, seven earned runs, 10 walks, and has fanned 32 batters with an ERA of 1.40.
Through 30 games, Patterson and Dooley have found their names all over the league leader charts. Patterson is currently tied for third in strikeouts with 44 and in second with 49 innings pitched. Dooley on the other hand is second in the league with a 1.40 ERA, tied for second in complete games and shut outs with two, and fourth in innings pitched with 45.
