Head-to-Head

Tonight marks this season's fourth chapter in the best rivalry in junior hockey. The Pats hold advantage in the season series, winning two of their first three meetings with the Warriors including their most recent matchup, a 5-1 Pats win in Moose Jaw. Four Pats have enjoyed successful campaigns against their rivals this season with Morgan Klimchuk, Lane Scheidl, Luke Fenske and Chandler Stephenson all holding four points against the Warriors. Three Warriors have two points against the Pats (Tanner Eberle, Sam Fioretti, Colton McCarthy). The Pats look to shake off a seven game losing streak tonight and avoid their making this slide their longest of the season. The Warriors are coming off a 5-0 loss to Saskatoon. Lead Up: Ice Hold Pats to One Goal in Regina Loss

The Pats found themselves in yet another game going down to the wire Saturday night when they hosted the Kootenay Ice. Jon Martin and Lane Scheidl traded goals in the first period to send the game to the middle frame tied at one. On a 5-on-3 powerplay in the second, Sam Reinhart scored to give Kootenay a 2-1 lead which they would hold on to until making it 3-1 on a shorthanded empty net goal by Levi Cable. Skills Competition

The Pats put their individual skills on display Monday night in the Prairie Mobile Pats Skills Competition. Chandler Stephenson showed himself to be well rounded winning the fastest skater (12.94 seconds), hardest shot (94 mph)and finishing third in the accuracy challenge (4 for 8). Rookie Adam Brooks won the accuracy challenge hitting four targets in six shots while Lane Scheidl finished second in the fastest skater and Darian Henry was the runner up for hardest shot. Improving on Last Season

Lane Scheidl snapped a five game goalless drought against Kootenay Saturday night. The marker gives him 24 on the season, just three shy of his total last season. It also gives him 55 points, equaling his career high in 20 less games.

Who to Watch on Moose Jaw

It's hard not to notice Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Morgan Rielly on the ice. The fifth overall selection in the 2013 NHL Draft has four points in six games since returning to the Warriors lineup from Leafs Training Camp.
