Game Story

For the third game in a row, the Broncos opened the scoring when Colby Cave fired a one-timer just past the outstretched pad of Daniel Wapple. It took over 15 minutes for the Pats to find an equalizer when Braden Christoffer burned a Bronco defender to the outside, cut to the net and tucked the puck around Landon Bow. The second period saw the Pats take their first lead on a shorthanded goal from Adam Brooks. The Broncos found the equalizer on the same powerplay off the stick of Max Lajoie. The home side regained the lead off a Pats turnover in their own end. Coda Gordon rolled into the slot as the trailer on the play and beat Wapple. Once again, the Pats found a way to leave the period tied when Patrick D'Amico danced around some Bronco defenders and found twine for a 3-3 tie after two. Cave put the Broncos in front again just 25 seconds into the third, but Colby Williams had the answer to force overtime. The extra frame saw Austin Wagner score the winner 4:25 into the period to win the game.
