Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce Kalamazoo's favorite mascot, Slappy will be making two appearances this week.
Tomorrow, Thursday, October 14th, Slappy along with director of hockey operations and head coach Nick Bootland and K-Wing members Sam Ftorek, Darryl Lloyd, Andrew Fournier, Brian McMillin, Trent Daavettila, Jon Landry and Ryan Nie will be at the team's welcome party at the Longbranch Saloon and Eatery, located at 601 Spruce Street from 6-8 p.m.
On Saturday, October, 16th, Slappy will participate in the American Diabetes Walk at Celery Flats in Portage at 9 a.m.
