Hershey Sends Patrick Cullity to Stingrays

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Cail MacLean announced today that defenseman Patrick Cullity has been assigned to the team by the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

Cullity, 23, joins the Stingrays after spending four years at the University of Vermont. While with the Catamounts, the Tewksbury, MA native scored two goals and 23 assists for 25 points in 145 games. At the end of his senior season, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound defenseman skated in five games with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL recording no points and two penalty minutes. Cullity is the son of Tom Cullity, who holds the UVM record for power play goals in a season (19) and in a career (38).

The Stingrays drop the puck on their 18th season of hockey in the Low Country on Friday, October 22 against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:35 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Opening Weekend is set for Friday, November 5, Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7 against the Florida Everblades at 7:05 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum.
