San Antonio Rampage News Release

San Antonio – The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League today announced that the Florida Panthers have entered into an affiliation agreement with the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL.

The affiliation continues a relationship built between Panthers General Manager Rick Dudley and Augusta Lynx Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Stan Drulia, dating back to their days together in Tampa Bay. Drulia played for the Lightning during Dudley's tenure as Tampa Bay's General Manager. Drulia finished last season as an interim assistant coach in San Antonio and he also formerly played for Rampage Head Coach Steve Ludzik.

"We are excited to enter into a new arrangement with a quality ECHL team like Augusta," stated Dudley. "The fact that our athletes are going to be coached by Stan Drulia is also exciting since we feel he is a great up-and-coming coach. We believe we have some fine young prospects for the Augusta fans to watch play."

"I've got the utmost respect for both Rick Dudley and Steve Ludzik and I am thrilled to be working with them as a part of this affiliation agreement," Drulia said. "They both know what it takes to be successful at any level, and that winning attitude will be felt even here in Augusta."

Full-season, half-season, ten-game, five-game and flex ticket packages for the Rampage's second season in the AHL are available by calling a Rampage ticket representative at 210-444-5050 or by logging onto sarampage.com. The Rampage open the 2003-04 campaign in Utah on October 10, before returning home to face the Grizzlies in a rematch on October 11 at 7:00 p.m.
