
Falcons Announce New Deal with the ZONE - Sports Radio 640

Springfield, MA â The Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League (AHL) today announced that the club has agreed to terms with Clear Channel Communications to broadcast over 70 games on The ZONE - Sports Radio 640 during the 2003-04 season.
The voice of the Falcons, Marc Shelanski, will provide the play-by-play call of the action for the fourth consecutive season. The broadcasts will begin with the pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the opening face-off.
Falcons hockey has been carried on The ZONE â Sports Radio 640 since the team's inaugural season of 1994-95. The Falcons 2003-04 regular season kicks off on Friday, October 10th in Rhode Island versus the Providence Bruins.
"We've enjoyed a long and lasting relationship with Clear Channel and look forward to continuing it this season and beyond," said Falcons President and General Manager Bruce Landon.
"The ZONE is thrilled to be broadcasting Springfield Falcons hockey again this season," said Program Director R.J. McKay. "The Falcons are the biggest local professional sports team and it's great to be able to broadcast their games."
