Brockton, Mass. - Rox 1B Melvin Falu and DH Clyde Williams both hit home runs, while C Chris Grossman was 3-for-4, but the Sussex Skyhawks pushed across a pair of tallies in the tenth to earn a 7-5 victory over Brockton in a Can-Am League affair at Campanelli Stadium on Monday evening.

Sussex (20-16) got on the board in the top of the first, loading the bases before C Ryan Boelsen reached on an error by 3B Phillip Cuadrado, scoring SS Chase Fontaine.

The Rox (20-15) responded with three runs in their half of the frame, with back-to-back singles by 2B Scott Wearne and SS Dominic Ramos to lead off the inning before a three-run homer by Falu, making it a 3-1 game. Brockton added a run in the second when LF Mike Conroy walked, moved to second on Wearne's single, and scored on Ramos' single.

Sussex quickly tied the game in the third on a three-run blast by 1B Kris Sanchez, and took a 5-4 lead in the fourth on RF Kade Keowen's one-out solo shot.

Brockton tied the back-and-forth contest in the sixth on Williams' solo home run with two outs. The Rox had an opportunity to take the lead in the eighth, with Williams' walk and Grossman's single putting a pair of runners on first and second. CF Chris Valencia then hit a two-out single; Williams was held at third, but Grossman overran second, putting Williams in a rundown that eventually caused the third out of the inning.

The game stayed tied at five until the tenth, when DH Caleb Stewart's two-run triple gave the Skyhawks the eventual victory.

Seven different Sussex batters had hits on the night, with Keowen going 2-for-4. Wearne, Ramos and Grossman had multiple-hit outings for Brockton.

On a pitch count in his first start since coming back from injury, Logan Williamson got a no-decision in his third start of the season for the Rox, giving up four earned runs on four hits in four innings of work. Hunter Davis (0-1) took the loss, giving up the two tenth-inning runs.

For the Skyhawks, starter Mike Vicaro also did not factor in the decision, allowing five runs in six innings of work. Kevin Gunter (3-0) got the win despite pitching only one-third of an inning, and Duaner Sanchez pitched a perfect tenth for the save.

The two teams play the fourth game of the five-game set on Tuesday evening, with current Can-Am League strikeouts leader Mike Wlodarczyk (5-1) taking on Sussex's Jusef Frias (1-1) at 6:05 p.m. at Campanelli Stadium.
