
P-Bruins Fall to Senators 4-1

Binghamton, NY - The Providence Bruins fell to the Binghamton Senators 4-1 Saturday evening at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The P-Bruins got their lone goal from Alain Goulet. The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Sunday at 4:05 p.m. for Amica Lip Balm Night against the Connecticut Whale.
The P-Bruins took the 1-0 lead at the 12:04 mark of the opening period. Stefan Chaput had the puck along the boards and fed it to Goulet at the right point. He shot the puck into the top corner of the net for his second goal of the season. Binghamton tied the game at one at the 13:51 mark, while on the power play. Corey Locke tallied his 21st goal of the season with Roman Wick and Andre Benoit recording the assists. The game went into the first intermission tied at one.
Binghamton grabbed its first lead of the game at the 15:50 mark of the second period. Wick netted his 17th goal of the season, while Jim O'Brien picked up the lone assist. The Senators led 2-1 going into the second intermission.
The Senators made it 3-1 at the 12:32 mark of the third period. Ryan Potulny scored his 21st goal of the season, while Derek Grant and Geoff Kinrade had the assists. Binghamton finished off the scoring at the 14:56 mark. Cody Bass tallied his fourth goal of the season, with Wick getting the lone assist. The Senators went onto the 4-1 victory.
Anton Khudobin stopped 32 of 36 shots for the P-Bruins, while Robin Lehner made 32 saves for the Whale. The P-Bruins were 0-for-4 on the power play and 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.
