
Senators Re-Assign Mike Brodeur to Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 26, 2011) - The Ottawa Senators today re-assigned goaltender Mike Brodeur to the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators . Brodeur was recalled on Friday to replace Curtis McElhinney, who missed Ottawa's 2-0 victory over the Washington Capitals due to personal reasons.
Brodeur, 27, has made four National Hockey League appearances this season, posting a 4.33 goals-against-average and .833 save percentage. The Calgary native has played in eight games with Binghamton this season, posting a 2-5-0 record with a 3.25 goals-against-average and .889 save percentage. In four games with the ECHL's Elmira Jackals, he has a 3-1-0 record, with a 2.59 goals-against-average and .912 save percentage.
The B-Sens, in fifth place in the AHL's East Division with a 38-27-3-4 record and 83 points, next see action tonight when they host the Providence Bruins at 7:05 p.m.
