
P-Bruins Fall To Monarchs 4-0

Manchester, NH - The Providence Bruins fell to the Manchester Monarchs 4-0 Saturday evening at the Verizon Wireless Arena. The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Sunday at 4:05 p.m. for Bodnarchuk Poster Night against the Abbotsford Heat.
The Monarchs took a 1-0 advantage at the 6:14 mark of the opening period, while shorthanded. Marc-Andre Cliche tallied his 11th goal of the season, with Drew Bagnall recording the lone assist. Manchester led 1-0 going into the first intermission.
Manchester grabbed a 2-0 advantage at the 14:48 mark of the second period. Kevin Westgarth netted his tenth goal of the season, while Richard Clune and John Zeiler picked up the assists. The Monarchs made it 3-0 at the 18:06 mark. Clune scored his fourth goal of the season, while Bagnall and Justin Azevedo had the assists. Manchester led 3-0 going into the second intermission.
The Monarchs finished off the scoring at the 17:38 mark of the third period, while on the power play. Dwight King tallied his sixth goal of the season, with Bud Holloway and David Kolomatis grabbing the assists. Manchester went onto the 4-0 victory.
Kevin Regan stopped 31 of 35 shots for the P-Bruins, while Jonathan Bernier made 40 saves for the Monarchs. The P-Bruins were 0-for-5 on the power play and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill.
