Abbotsford Heat News Release

Bridgeport CT - Matt Keetley made 23 saves and Keith Seabrook scored with just 1:38 remaining as the Abbotsford Heat shutout the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 1-0 in AHL action on Saturday night in Connecticut.

After a scoreless 40 minutes, the Heat turned on the pressure in the final frame, earning a power play with just over three minutes to play. Right before the Heat goal, Matt Keetley had to turn aside Greg Mauldin with a game saving glove save while Mauldin was on a shorthanded breakaway.

Right after the Keetley save, Seabrook would notch the game winner, slapping a shot past Scott Munroe, the screened Tigers goalie. Seabrook's 8th of the season was all the Heat would get and all that they would need on this night.

With the victory, the HEAT move to 4-1 on this nine game road trip and are now tied for third place in the North Division, just two points back of second place Rochester. The HEAT will now face the Providence Bruins on Sunday afternoon back in Providence, where the Heat lost 4-2 to the Bruins on Friday night. You can hear all the action on Country 107.1 FM with the Honda Way pre-game show at 12:45 pm. Dave Sheldon will have the call of the game at 1 pm.
