Owlz Rout Osprey with Five-Run Eighth

The Owlz' offense appeared to be unstoppable again Sunday evening as they beat the Missoula Osprey 13-4 to take game two of the series.
Orem started off quickly in the first inning, recording five hits to start the game. It started with a lead off double to right center by Andrew Daniel that bounced in and out of the fielder's glove. Later with two outs the Owlz would rally and Daniel would eventually score when Zach Houchins hit a two-out double. Then Natanael Delgado would drive in Houchins on a base hit to center. Quinten Davis would cap off the rally with a two-run home run to right field.
Missoula would slowly start to chip away at the Owlz lead, aided by home runs by Trevor Mitsui and two home runs by Fernery Ozuna.
In the sixth inning the Owlz would add three more runs to their lead. After a Daniel walk loaded the bases a line drive double to left center field by Bo Way would score both Ryan Seiz and Michael Hermosillo. Later in the inning Houchins would knock in Daniel to add to the lead.
A five-run eighth inning would push the Owlz lead to nine. The big blow of the inning came on a three-run triple by Seiz that unloaded the bases.
Houchins had a big night, going 4-for-6 and recording three RBI.
Bo Way went 3-for-6 and had two RBI while four other Owlz had multiple-hit games.
Michael Bolaski got the win and improves his record to 4-1. In six innings he struck out five batters. Alex Klonowski was superb in relief, throwing three shutout innings, giving up only two hits and earning the save.
The Owlz will take on Missoula in game three of the four-game series Monday night at 7:05. The game can be heard live on audio.oremowlz.com.
