GF SWEEPS BREWERS

The Voyagers picked up their season-high fifth straight win Thursday with an 11-1 victory over Helena. Great Falls got the offense going right away, scoring three in the first on a Mason Robbins two-run homer and a Zach Stoner RBI single. The big frame was the third, which saw the Voyagers strike for six. The inning was highlighted by a two-run single by Ryan Jones and a three-run triple from Jake Peter, who had a career-high four RBIs on the night. Great Falls added two more in the seventh when they put together three consecutive doubles.

MASON'S MASHING

Outfielder Mason Robbins continued his hot stretch last night, going 3-5 and homering for the second straight night. A 25th round selection by the White Sox this year, Robbins has now hit safely in his last eight games, going 18-33 (.545) during this stretch with three home runs, seven RBIs, nine runs scored, and six multi-hit efforts.

FREUDENBERG DOMINANT

For the fifth time in eight outings this year, Great Falls lefty Chris Freudenberg turned in a quality start as he picked up his third win of the year last night. Freudenberg now leads the team in quality starts this season, with one more than Dane Stone. The southpaw's six scoreless frames yesterday lowered his ERA to 2.70, the third-best in the league among qualified pitchers. It was the second time this year that the Tempe, Ariz., native has dominated the Brewers, as he limited them to one run on five hits while beating them at Kindrick Field on July 2.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

After sweeping their two-game home series with Helena, the Voyagers are back on the road to continue their stretch of 14 out of 16 on the road with their second seven-game road trip this month. The trip starts in Billings with three against the Mustangs, then shifts to Missoula where Great Falls will play four with the Osprey.
