Owlz Losing Streak Reaches Seven

(Colorado Springs, CO) The Orem Owlz (13-30) gave up six runs in the seventh inning, losing their seventh consecutive game as they fell to the Rocky Mountain Vibes (20-23) 10-2 on Wednesday night at UCHealth Park.

For the third straight game in the series, the Owlz opened the scoring as Johan Sala belted a double off the wall in right-center, scoring Morgan McCullough in the second inning, giving the Owlz a 1-0 lead.

The lead didn't last long as the Vibes sored two runs in the bottom of the second inning on a Micah Bello double and a Jose Sibrian sacrifice fly. The Vibes scored two more runs in the fifth inning on a Cam DeVanney double after the Owlz scored a run on a wild pitch in the top of the inning.

Rocky Mountain batted 12 times in the seventh inning, scoring six runs on five hits, extending the lead to 10-2 on their way to a win over the Owlz.

Arman Sabouri (1-3) earned the win while Set Ballew (1-2) was charged with the loss. The Owlz open up a two-game series on Thursday night at Grand Junction at 6:40.
