Owlz Cruise to Victory as They Win Their Sixth Game in Seven

IDAHO FALLS- The Orem Owlz were looking to bounce back from their tough home loss from the night before. They needed a spark and that's just what they got, as the Owlz defeated the Idaho Falls Chukars 14-5 in the first game of three. The night started out with Eduar Lopez getting the nod on the mound for the Owlz, as he gave up two runs on the scoresheet, but struck out six batters in his five innings of play to capture his second win of the year.
On the offensive end, the Owlz Center Fielder Jared Foster had four RBI's on the night, which included a double that cleared the bases in the top of the 7 inning. Kyle Survance Jr, Jeff Boehm, Brenden Sanger, Tanner Lubach and Ranyelmy Mendoza all combined two bring in two RBI's of their own on the night to help the Owlz prevail to victory.
Orem scored four runs in the third after going scoreless through the two innings of play in the early going. Michael Pierson doubled on a ground ball to left field to open up the night for the Owlz to help get the Owlz on the right track.
The victory helped the Owlz win their sixth game in seven nights and to extend their lead in the division by winning their 12 game of the season.
The Owlz will be back in action tomorrow night as the two teams will meet for game two of the three game series. First pitch scheduled at 4:00 MT and you can listen to the game on audio.oremowlz.com.
