Ogden Raptors News Release
The Raptors had taken the first five games of the series, but the Owlz finally struck back on Sunday.
Despite jumping out to an early lead, Ogden couldn't hold off a relentless Northern Colorado push, falling 10-4 in the series finale at Lindquist Field.
The Raptors led 3-0 through four thanks to a pair of RBI knocks from Carmine Lane, who finished 3-for-5 with two runs driven in. Kenny Oyama chipped in with a 3-for-3 day at the plate, while Connor Bagnieksi, Cole Jordan, and Dylan Wilkinson each reached multiple times.
But after a solid five innings from Eli Elliott, things unraveled in the sixth when Northern Colorado broke through for four unearned runs-including a three-run homer by Brett Roberts-and never looked back. The Owlz tacked on two more homers down the stretch to close it out and avoid the sweep.
With the loss, Ogden finishes the homestand 5-1 and sits at 20-16 heading into a six-game road swing.
The Raptors hit the road this week, starting with three games in Idaho Falls against the Chukars, followed by three in Great Falls to wrap up the trip. They'll return home to Lindquist Field on Monday, July 8, for a big six-game series against the always-dangerous Missoula PaddleHeads, where it's Dodgers Cap Give Away Night Sponsored by Allstate!
