April 4, 2008 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

Ovations Food Services, official concessionaire of Isotopes Park, announced today the hiring of Jay Satenspiel as General Manager, reprising the role he had with Ovations in Albuquerque from 2003 to 2005. Satenspiel will take over the operation in mid-April, ensuring that the food service for the Isotopes' opening homestand remains as excellent as it has been in years past.

After departing Albuquerque following the 2005 season, Satenspiel joined Levy Restaurants for whom he served as Director of Concessions and Operations at three high-profile facilities; Ford Field in Detroit, where he worked Super Bowl XL, Wrigley Field in Chicago, and most recently, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

"I'm excited to be returning to Albuquerque and rejoining one of the premier Minor League venues in this country," said Satenspiel. "We helped establish something very special at Isotopes Park when I was there previously, and my experiences in the Major Leagues will help us as we continue to raise the bar for Food Services and Concessions in New Mexico."

A 45-year old native of Brooklyn, New York, Satenspiel has been brought in to help open and set-up the food services at numerous stadiums and arenas throughout North America, including the John Labatt Centre (London, Ontario, Canada), the SaveMart Center (Fresno, CA), The Ranch at Larimer County Fairgrounds (Loveland, CO), Dodge Arena (Hidalgo, TX), and the Iowa Events Center (Des Moines). Satenspiel was also brought in and was instrumental in the food service operations at the 2007 NHL All-Star Game in Dallas, Texas.

Prior to joining the Isotopes, Satenspiel, who brings with him nearly a decade of experience, served as Concessions Manager for AutoZone Park in Memphis, TN from 2000 to 2003 and from 1999 to 2000, he worked at Club Seats Manager & Assistant Catering Manager at the RBC Center, in Raleigh, N.C.

After an eight-game tour of the Midwest, the Isotopes return home on April 11 to face the Oklahoma RedHawks, Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. In addition to the usual Opening Night pomp and circumstance, the ‘Topes will be giving away Isotopes Hats to the first 3,000 fans courtesy of Sandia Resort and Casino. Tickets can be purchased at Isotopes Park or any Ticketmaster outlet, www.ticketmaster.com, or Ticketmaster by phone 505-883-7800.
