Demetrius Banks got the ball for the Outlaws, looking for his seventh win of the year and earning it, pitching six innings, allowing three earned runs on eight hits and striking out six Flyers. The Flyers got started in the second inning with a solo homerun to left by right fielder David Harris, his fourth tater of the year, putting Orange County up 1-0.

Orange County expanded the lead to 2-0 in the third when Tyler Keeble doubled and then came home on former big leaguer Keith Ginter's RBI double.

In the fourth inning, Harris led the inning off with a walk and then advanced to second on a stolen base. Moving to third on a fly ball out, Harris scored on an RBI groundout by rookie Zach Mandleblatt. The RBI was the first pro run batted in for the rookie, making the score 3-0 Flyers.

Chico finally got to Flyers' starter Kevin Altman in the top of the fifth inning, when catcher Robby Alcombrack sent his fifth homerun of the year sailing over the left field foul pole, cutting the Orange County lead to 3-1.

Outlaws' left fielder JJ Sherrill led off the sixth inning with a hard hit ball to Flyers' third baseman Jimmy Rohan, who threw the ball away wide of first base on an infield single. Sherrill advanced all the way home on the error, making it a one run game. Mikael Jova came up next and doubled, coming home one batter later on a Carlos Lopez RBI triple, his first three-bagger of the year, tying the game at three each.
