
Outfielder Sanders returns to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY- The Syracuse SkyChiefs announced today that the Toronto Blue Jays have acquired Outfielder Anthony Sanders from the Colorado Rockies for a Player To Be Named Later and assigned him to Syracuse.
Sanders, 30, played for the SkyChiefs in 1998 and 1999. In 1999 Sanders hit .244 with 18 HR and 59 RBI in 124 games. In 1998 Sanders hit .191 with 4 HR and 19 RBI in 60 games. Sanders appeared in 3 games for the Blue Jays in 1999, 1 game for the Seattle Mariners in 2000 and 9 games for Seattle in 2001.
For Colorado of the Pacific Coast League this season, Sanders was hitting .316 in 24 games with 4 HR and 12 RBI.
