
Emergency Services Appreciation Night set for July 6

Louisville, KY â The Louisville Bats are teaming up with the Louisville Metro Police and Metro Fire Department to honor those who serve and protect the Greater Louisville community. Special pre-game ceremonies, activities and events are planned both pre-game and during the game as the Bats take on the Ottawa Lynx for a doubleheader on July 6 at Louisville Slugger Field. First pitch is scheduled for 4:15 p.m., but we encourage everyone to arrive early to take in all the pre-game festivities and tributes as well.
To honor those who serve and protect the Greater Louisville community, all current EMS, Fire Department and Police Department employees will be admitted to the game FREE of charge. You must show your Emergency Service Identification at the ticket window to receive your free ticket. You may also order additional tickets for family and friends for $5 each.
In between the first and second game, the Metro Police will take on the Metro Fire in a Home Run Derby on the Louisville Slugger Field playing surface. The second game of the doubleheader will start at approximately 7:30 p.m.
To get your free ticket and order $5 guest tickets, please call the Bats office at (502) 212-2287 ext. 632 or ext. 642. Each ticket will be good for both Bats games as well as the Home Run Derby. Personnel not needing guest tickets may show their Emergency Service Identification for a free ticket at the gate on July 6. $5 guest tickets must be ordered in advance.
