St. Catharines, ON - A six-goal second period by the Niagara IceDogs and a 28-save shutout by former Erie Otters netminder Chris Festarini denied the Otters of a win on the road Thursday night as the IceDogs prevailed, 7-0.

The teams played through a scoreless first period but the first 20 minutes featured plenty of opportunities, as the Otters outshot the IceDogs, 16-15, in the first period.

The second period would be a different story, as the IceDogs scored six in the period including the first four in a span of three minutes and 11 seconds.

The IceDogs added another goal 2:23 into the third as Andrew Agozzino scored his second of the game to complete Niagara's win. David Pacan also scored twice for the IceDogs.

The Otters return home Friday night at 7:00 p.m. to take on the Sudbury Wolves. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the game and receive a ticket voucher good for January 6 as part of the Toys for Tots Drive presented by Knickerbocker Equipment Co. Inc. and WSEE. Both games start at 7:00 p.m. For tickets, call 814-452-4857 or online at ottershockey.com.
