Otters Lose in Sarnia, 13-3

Sarnia, Ont. - Four goals by Reid Boucher helped the Sarnia Sting earn a 13-3 win over the Erie Otters Friday night.

Boucher jump started the offense for the Sting as he scored 15 seconds into the game. He scored his second goal of the game at 10:20 to make it 2-0, Sting.

Anthony DeAngelo, Nikolay Goldobin and NIck Latta all scored to push the Sting lead to 5-0. Devin Williams replaced Oscar Dansk in the Erie net following the fifth goal.

Hayden Hodgson put the Otters on the board at 17:03 with his eighth goal of the season. Hodgson took a long pass from Stephen Harper for a breakaway and beat J.P. Anderson through the blocker side to make it 5-1.

The Sting continued to pour it on in the second period, scoring four times in the first 7:56 to take a 9-1 lead into the second intermission. Goldobin, Boucher, Brett Hargrave and Bryan Moore each scored in the second for the Sting.

In the third period, the Otters scored a pair of goals courtesy of Dane Fox and Travis Wood in a span of a minute and 12 seconds to trim the Sarnia lead to 9-3.

Four more goals were scored by the Sting complete their victory, as Moore and Latta each scored their second goals of the game ten seconds apart to make it 11-3. Boucher scored his fourth of the game at 11:53 and Tyler Hore scored in the final minute to finish the scoring.
