Evansville Otters News Release
Evansville, IN- Whirlpool Corporation has been a fixture in Evansville for many years, and now another Evansville fixture is giving back to the employees of Whirlpool. In response to Whirlpool's plans to close its local plant in 2010, the Evansville Otters are announcing that for the remainder of the 2009 season all Whirlpool employees and their immediate family members will receive free admission with their Whirlpool Employee IDs.
"When something this dramatic happens, it's incumbent upon all of us in the community to reach out as best we can," said Otters president Bill Bussing. "The free tickets obviously won't offset the loss of a job; however, they will allow Whirlpool families to enjoy Otters games at no charge while they come to grips with the recent announcement."
The Evansville Otters' 2009 season will conclude with a three-game series on Labor Day weekend with the final game starting at 12:05pm on Sunday, September 6. For more information please contact the front office at 812-435-8686.
