
Otters Begin Final Regular Season Series at Washington

(WASHINGTON, PENNSYLVANIA) - The Evansville Otters (55-35) begin their final regular season series with a doubleheader at the Washington Wild Things (55-37).
First pitch is set for 6:05 pm EDT at Consol Energy Park in Washington, Pennsylvania.
The game will be broadcast live on WUEV 91.5 FM and WUEV.org . Play by play announcer Mike Radomski will have the call beginning at 5:45 pm EDT.
Evansville will have left-hander Jose Velez (2-4, 2.47 ERA) going in game one with righty Will Oliver (3-0, 1.68 ERA) scheduled to pitch in game two
The Otters went 5-1 on their final homestand.
This is the fifth consecutive doubleheader for Evansville (6-2). They are 17-11 in doubleheaders this season.
Washington is 56-45 against the Otters all time. Evansville is 4-1 this season against the Wild Things.
The Otters had three players in the Frontier League All-Star game on July 16. 3B Shayne Houck started the contest going 2-for-2. Nik Balog pinch hit and played first base, going 0-for-1 with a walk. Josh Allen finished the night 0-for-2 as a defensive replacement and second baseman.
Evansville is 23-19 on the road this season.
