Ottawa 67's News Release

(Ottawa ON.); The Ottawa 67's today announced the acquisition of centre Mike Cazzola from the Erie Otters in exchange for 3 draft picks. Cazzola, a 20-year old 5' 7" left hand shot, has recorded 189 points including 68 goals, in 191 OHL games. He was on the sidelines for most of this season with a hand injury but has fully recovered and resumed play in December."

"We've been looking to add a veteran centre to our lineup and Cazzola certainly fits the bill," said 67's coach and GM Chris Byrne. "He's an offencive player who plays in both ends of the rink and that's the kind of player all teams need to compete and win, particularly in the playoffs."

The 67's gave Erie a 5th round pick in the in 2013 OHL Priority Selection draft, a 2nd round pick in 2014 and a 7th round pick in 2015 for the rights to Cazzola. They also acquired Erie's 12th round pick this year.
